People Issues       NOTE: See Martin Luther King nonviolence resources below
http://www.h4pj.org/issues/people.php

The value of people over profits. It is a moral issue when the world’s wealthiest nation prioritizes funding for military contractors over providing basic necessities for its poorest citizens. Hope for Peace & Justice seeks to redress these economic inequities. We seek to motivate those who have extra to provide the resources necessary to break the cycle of poverty.

We give voice to values such as:

The creation of a culture of peace rather than war.
The value of people over profits.
Equal rights for all people, not just the majority.
The protection of the environment before the corporate bottom line.
Healthcare as a civil right for all, not just for the wealthy.
The same quality of justice for the poor as for the rich.
We encourage you to do something to promote peace and justice in the world. Whether you are a person of faith or someone who has no professed religious or spiritual faith, it is important for you to work to overcome cynicism and complacency and take personal responsibility for making peace and doing justice.

We would love for you to get involved with Hope for Peace & Justice as a partner in this great work.  --Michael Piazza

TFF works in its 22nd year for the United Nations norm of "peace by peaceful means."
We'd like to direct your attention to the rich reservoir of knowledge and debate available on our homepages.

And what value, what policy, could be more important than nonviolence when we keep on witnessing so much unnecessary violence creating so much unnecessary suffering around the world?

We're proud of the resources we have created over the years around this fundamentally important idea.
